All electrical systems must be tested and inspected periodically according to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations. The Electrical Installation Certificate issued for work I previously carried out on your property states when the installation should next be inspected. This is normally no later than 5 years from the date of issue. This routine inspection confirms that the installation remains safe for continued use and that no deterioration or non-compliance has developed over time. Included: Inspection & testing of the electrical work previously certified by me A complete BS7671 Compliant Electrical Installation Condition Report Requirements: Access to a copy of any subsequent EICRs and/or electrical installation certificates issued by someone else since I worked on your system. Clear unhindered access to the main incoming supply cable and meter. Clear unhindered access to the main consumer unit/fuse box. Clear unhindered access to incoming water stop tap/gas meter/oil meter as applicable. Clear unhindered access to all electrical points that I worked on. Electrical supply to the property will be fully disconnected for short periods during testing procedures. Not Included: Alterations to structures in order to access points listed above. Testing/inspection of non-fixed appliances. Testing/inspection of electrical work undertaken by someone else. Diagnosis of any known/discovered faults. Repair/correction/modification/upgrading of the existing electrical system.
